Gages Features:
- Ring gages are solid; Plug gauges are Taper lock- double ends with one handle. our solid ring gages can be used directly, no need setting plug gages to test them in advance. The advantage of Taper-lock style is when one end worn out, one new end can be replaced quickly and easily. The handle and end in good condition can be used again.
- NPSM straight pipe thread gauges are produced according to Ref. ANSI/ASME B1.20.1, made to class X tolerance. Standard Iron, steel, and brass pipe are often used for special applications where there are no internal pressures.Where straight thread joints are required for mechanical assemblies, straight pipe threads are often found more suitable or convenient.
- NPSM thread gages inspection environment: standard temperature 20 ºC ± 1 ºC, standard conditions measuring force is zero.

How to Use?
Product internal threads should be inspected using qualified working gauges that comply with the relevant provisions of ANSI/ASME B1.20.1. To reduce disputes during inspection and acceptance, it is recommended that manufacturers, inspectors, and acceptors use the same qualified gauge. If using the same qualified gauge is difficult:
- The production workshop uses new or minimally worn through-end thread ring gauges and end-end thread ring gauges that are worn close to the wear limit; the acceptance department uses through-end thread ring gauges that are worn close to the wear limit and new or minimally worn end-end thread ring gauges.
- Through-end (T) thread ring gauges have a full profile and should be screwed in when used to inspect the effective pitch and major diameters of product external threads.
- End-end (Z) thread ring gauges have a truncated profile and should be screwed in when used to inspect the single pitch diameter of product external threads. The screwing should not exceed two full pitches.
- Pipe thread ring gauges used to determine the acceptance of working pipe external threads are qualified if they meet the applicable standards.
- Unless otherwise agreed, pipe thread ring gauge acceptance is based on the calibration of pipe thread plug gauges and adheres to the requirements of Sections A and B.
- Single-parameter pipe thread ring gauge inspection reports can be provided upon order request.
Gages Certification:
Long form calibration certificate from ISO17025 accredited lab can be provided, but it need to be told in advance, and need extra costs.

Special Order:
1) We also can provide custom production service for special CUSTOM thread gages, for example, Special diameter, special pitch, pre-plated and left hand etc. Usually we need 3~4 weeks to finish special ring gauges, and ten days to finish special plug gages. Only one pc is acceptable.
2) SuperSize thread Gages is available, till to Max Size: 1000 mm, come with long form calibration certificate.
3) We can provide laser marking service on the gauges. For example, clents’ Logo.
4)We can provide full parameter working ring gauge with gage inspection report according to order requirements. But the prices will be requested.
